Surviving Lagos Plane crash air hostess, toes and fingers to be amputated

The Federal Government of Nigeria urgently needs to  intervene to fly Mrs Queeneth Owolabi abroad for treatment, or else she would have her toes and fingers amputated due to gangrene infection. Mrs Owolabi is one of the surviving cabin crew members on the ill-fated Associated Airlines plane that crashed in Lagos two weeks ago.

The amputation was to be done yesterday at the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, base hospital in Ikeja, where she had been hospitalised since the crash, but her husband refused it. Mrs. Owolabi survived the crash alongside six others, although two of the survivors later died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH.

Vanguard gathered, yesterday, that the husband of the victim have been  making frantic efforts to reach the Federal Government for his wife to be flown abroad for treatment to stave off the amputation, especially as the government was said to be responsible for her treatment thus far.

National President of Nigerian Airlines Cabin Crew Association, NACCA, Mr. Charles Onuoha, who confirmed the development, appealed to the Federal Government to urgently come to the rescue of the crash victim. According to him, Owolabi’s 10 toes and the five fingers of the left hand have been marked for amputation because of the infection that had set in.

He said:

“We are calling for referral for overseas treatment, a post-trauma stress assessment and de-briefing for Mrs Quinneth Owolabi, and her colleague, Miss Toyin Samson, currently on admission at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Lagos.“We are appealing for government’s intervention because that is the only thing that can stop this amputation.”

Please lets together share this so that the relevant authority can get the message and help can get to the surviving victims as soon as possible

Addressing a press conference at the Airport West Hotel in Accra Friday, Ghana’s first ever Big Brother Africa reality show finalist Elikem answered questions on his experience in the house, his beef with Nando and his relationship with Zimbabwean beauty, Pokello.

“Yes, I have,” said Elikem when asked if he had seen the tape adding to much laughter “I don’t want to say, yes, it was nice.” Elikem says Pokello told him about the tape from the beginning “and it was not much of a big deal.”

Elikem added that they (Elikem and Pokello) were taking the relationship one day at a time and he will be visiting Zimbabwe soon before Pokello visits him in Ghana.

Bianca Denies Fani-Kayode's Claim

Bianca Ojukwu widow to the late Chukuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu and Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain has stated the claim by former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode that she was his girlfriend when she was a spinster as false.

Fani-Kayode had in his article, claimed to have met Bianca and had befriended her when she was Miss Bianca Onoh at the Cambridge College.

Bianca has stated that she had never met Fani-Kayode before, either privately or official not to talk of having an intimate relationship with him
Bianca, who spoke through her lawyers, Wall Street Attorneys, has, threatened to sue Fani-Kayode if, in the next seven days, he fails to retract his publication against her.

In the letter from her lawyers to Fani-Kayode, dated August 27, 2013 and signed by Mike Ugwuanyi, Esq, Mrs. Ojukwu demanded that the former minister writes an apology and retraction of the said libelous publication in The Sun and Thisday newspapers, as well as publish it in the online publication, where it emanated, in the next seven days or face litigation.

The letter written by Mrs. Ojukwu’s lawyers and obtained by The Sun read in part: “We have been briefed and our services retained by Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain to demand from you an unreserved apology and a retraction of a false and malicious statement, which you published online and also caused to be published in the Leadership Newspaper of August 16, 2013.

“In the said article entitled, ‘Neither a Tribalist nor a Hater,’ you recklessly alleged, as follows: ‘I was not a tribalist when I had a long standing and intimate relationship with Miss Bianca Onoh…’, a statement, which you know is untrue and unfounded, but only calculated to lower our client’s esteem and damage her national and international reputation.

“Our client has never met you, does not know you in person and has never had any official or private relationship with you how much more ‘a long-standing and intimate relationship.’

“Our client is therefore, outraged by your bizarre and scandalous allegation and the numerous mails and telephone calls she has received from friends, relations and admirers who are equally embarrassed and who seek to confirm the veracity or otherwise of your false and reckless publication.

“Your apparent lame and half-hearted attempt, as published in the Leadership Newspaper of 17th August 2013, to clarify your false and malicious allegation falls far short of a retraction and does not sufficiently address the damage to our client arising from the widespread dissemination of your false publication and is therefore unacceptable to our client.

“In the circumstances, we demand, on the instruction of our client that you submit to her a clear and unqualified apology and retraction published in The Sun and Thisday newspapers in addition to having the retraction published online.

“Take note that should you fail to tender the apology and publish a retraction of your false and malicious publication, seven days next after your receipt of this demand notice, our further instructions are to seek appropriate redress in court. And that shall be without further recourse to you. Be properly guided.

And This Is Fani-Kayode's Reply Through His Lawyer

This morning Cheif Femi Fani-Kayode woke up to find a letter that was published as an advertorial in Thisday Newspaper purportedly by Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu's lawyer threatening to sue him for mentioning her in his article and claiming that she has never methim before. She also said that he was being malicious. The matter has of course been reffered to Chief Fani-Kayode's lawyers who will now take it up.

Ordinarily he would have not have said a word about this matter because he sympathises with her for whatever she may have been going through. However now that she has put it in the public realm Chief Fani-Kayode is compelled to formally respond. To the assertion that he never knew her and that they were never friends he says this is false and he asks why would he lie? The public evidence is to the contrary. Chief Fani-Kayode would not want to say anything to embarrass her because that would be ungentlemanly.

He sympathises with her delicate situation and once again he expresses his regrets about the fact that his statement about her was misconstrued. We shall just leave it at that.
Signed by Mr. Bisi Lawal on behalf of Femi Fani Kayode

Abeg is it possibly for one to just lie publicly like this?

Clint Eastwood And Wife Dina Eastwood Separates

According to Us Magazine
Maybe Clint Eastwood just isn't the marrying kind. The Dirty Harry actor, 83, has separated from second wife Dina Eastwood (nee Ruiz) after nearly 17 years of marriage, Dina confirms exclusively to Us Weekly.
(Eastwood's manager, when contacted about the split by Us, said only, "I know nothing about that.")
The former TV news reporter, 48, says that she and Eastwood remain close but have been living separately for some time. In fact, a source tells Us the two actually split more than a year ago, in June 2012. "Clint fell out of love with Dina a long time ago," the insider says, noting that the separation was "amicable."
Married since March 31, 1996, Dina and the Million Dollar Baby director have one daughter together, 16-year-old Morgan. Eastwood is also dad to seven other kids, though he has only been married once before. (He and first wife Maggie Johnson had a daughter, Alison; the rest of his kids are from other relationships.)
Morgan and Dina appeared together -- along with Eastwood's daughter Francesca, from his relationship with Titanic actress Frances Fisher -- on the E! reality series Mrs. Eastwood & Company. The show -- which ran for one season in 2012 -- followed their lives in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif., where Eastwood was mayor from 1986 to 1988

Lamar And Khloe May Be Heading For A Divorce

It is no longer news that Khloe and Lamar marriage is going through some stormy weather, Life has often seemed to be an open book for the Kardashian family -- but, as it turns out, Khloe Kardashian has been keeping her troubled marriage uncharacteristically close to her vest. In fact, until recently, even her famous family members were left in the dark about the extent of her
problems with Lamar Odom, her husband of nearly four years. "Khloe did keep her marriage issues with Lamar a secret from her family for quite some time - no one knew," a source tells of Khloe, 29, who is famously close with older sisters Kim and Kourtney and mom Kris Jenner.
As  reports keeps coming up about NBA player Odom, 33 -- cheating rumors, supposed drug use and the status of his contract with the L.A. Lakers -- a second insider close to the Kardashian family acknowledges that the embattled couple met and had a long talk at their house over the weekend. "They are not separated," the insider insists. (One outlet had claimed the Odom had gone missing; his agent Jeff Schwartz assured ESPN.com on Monday Lamar is not missing. "His wife knows exactly where he is.")
"Khloe has seemed very unhappy lately. She's not herself," a third confidante reveals. "It's heartbreaking to see how unhappy she is, because she is in love with him. It's so sad."
The E! Reality star was spotted late last week looking glum, with her wedding ring noticeably absent. She took to twitter late Sunday to lash out against the media glare. "Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk sh-t about my family!" she fumed. "F-ck you and shame on you! I'm too protective for this sh-t!"

Lamar has always been Khloe's number one priority, His health and his well beings are the biggest priorities to her.
